Biography
Nima Shafiq-Doost was a 16-year-old originally from the village of Zindasht who resided in Urmia. During the 2022 protests, he was severely wounded by direct gunfire from government forces and later died after being denied access to professional medical care while hiding at his father's house. Authorities later made the widely disputed claim that his death was caused by a dog bite.
نیما شفیقدوست نوجوان ۱۶ ساله اهل روستای زیندشت و ساکن ارومیه بود. او در جریان اعتراضات ۱۴۰۱ با شلیک مستقیم نیروهای حکومتی به شدت مجروح شد و در حالی که مخفیانه در منزل پدریاش تحت مداوا بود، به دلیل ممانعت نیروهای امنیتی از دسترسی به درمان جان باخت. مقامات امنیتی بعدها در ادعایی تکذیب شده، علت مرگ او را گازگرفتگی توسط سگ اعلام کردند.
